New Curtains

We have never had curtains over the slider doors in our dining room. Finally we thought it was about time, but I only had a couple of "way too short" curtains to match the others in the house. The fabric store in town is a tiny place, about 10 x 12 past a wrought iron gate, up a beat up old stairway, and connected to a house, smack in the middle of town across from the government offices. 90% of their fabric is either fleece or stretchy stuff. I finally found a print sort of cotton/poly. No plain fabrics here! I inserted panels of fabric on the curtains, then reattached the hem, and trimmed with color at the top. Finally we have curtains to close, and they keep cool air off Mike's back in the early mornings when he sits at his computer. Nice tidy French seams, for those of you in the know.
