New Projects in Mulege

Obviously we can't just sit around and relax. Have to create new projects here in Mulege. We started by building a very large raised bed on the river side of the house. Then we decided to start a garden in the lot we purchased next door. That was quite complex. Our helper Adan dug out six inches of icky salty soil, which he replaced with lovely rich soil from the agricultural valley. He chopped in lots of fresh alfalfa, then we added 27 small bags of top soil we found for sale at the local dime store. You know, the kind you might buy to plant a couple of African Violets, but the only good soil we could get here. Then Adan, clever boy, put in a complete drip system. Can't wait to get the seeds in place!

The door to the guest casita, as well as the windows, have all been subjected to various hurricanes, and termite damage. Here is a shot of our new guest room door in process.
