Flying Over Great Salt Lake

July second I flew home from Utah. I shot a bunch of photos of Great Salt Lake, an awesome sight from the plane. The lake claims to be the habitat for some hundred billion brine flies, which are the main staple for shorebirds, migrating birds, and brine shrimp (brine shrimp are sold as the novelty "sea monkeys"). The various types of algae tint different areas of Great Salt Lake green, blue, red, and even purple.
