Among my boxes of family items I recently came across this hand-written journal by my great grandmother, Lydia Vail Burriss. This journal was written in 1928 to my mother, Josephine, and tells of our family's travels from Pennsylvania to Iowa. There is also a section about travels to Yosemite. Quite something to see back in the 1920's.
