The ribbon art circles outside of Park City remind me of a watercolor exercise I had done in Mulege with my friend and instructor, Kara Dodge. Though it would at first glance appear to be quite simple to do a watercolor of ribbons, in fact it requires lots of thought to be certain that the light and shadows determine the ins and outs of the ribbon placement.
